My journey recorder is now published as a standalone PHP library which can be used by anyone to record his/her own journeys into a MariaDB database with a website to be accessed while on the trip.
This has provided me useful analysis about my ticket costs compared to car costs, speed of various transports, and also enabled me to update my mileage competition entry with short turn-around.
