Or, you just make sure freight operates or is induced to operate at off-peak periods. Considering how full the Southeastern is, which feeds almost all of the WLL traffic, it would be beneficial for all concerned for little more than a standard half-hourly path to be available throughout a period of about 07:00 - 09:59 and 16:00 - 18:59. That can be from Hither Green or Shortlands, and timed identically between Nunhead and Mitre Bridge.
Very little operates between those hours (I was surprised to find any, there used to be an absolute bar on peak hour freight on the SR suburban lines ).
Anyway, back to frequencies:
12tph on the NLL should be doable, 4 Richmond/8 CLJ (query: does the reduction in Richmond capacity work?); add 2 SN and you still have 2 freight paths on the WLL.
the significant issue is platform 1 at CLJ which couldn't accommodate 8tph at alternating 5/10min intervals.
Really clever timetabling could have 6tph at each platforms shared by WLL and SLL (Mildmay and Windrush?) but "performance risk" springs to the lip.... or an expensive reinstatement of the old P1 viaduct.
Or you could divert 4tph via Longhedge towards Dalston Jn, thus giving the SLL 8tph.

Good luck getting 12tph via Finchley Road & Frognal and the signalling system there.

Alright, 8:30 then. My point still stands, there isn’t any at like 8am when the highest number of people are travelling.
That is just due to the timetable, unless its hidden in the TPRs, there aren't bans on freight running.

As I have stated on another thread, the NLL is at capacity. Indeed it is over capacity. I wouldnt be surprised if some trains were taken out of the timetable.

Do you mean at the moment? They can’t take trains out in the peak as the existing ones are busy enough.
What really needs to be done on the north London line is Some platform extensions to allow doubled up units to run , or ordering more 378 carriages to extend them to 6 or 8 cars .

How are you extending platforms at Camden Road, for example? And the bays at Stratford? It’s not easy.

at stratford at least platform 1 would be easy to extend

and in theory if Platform 12 was moved South that would allow Platform 2 to be extended

You can’t be serious. This is the last thing needed on the line.

Make Maersk pay for signalling upgrades as they are causing these problems!

Technically it is. 10tph, if just spread the tiniest bit (i.e. an 8 minute gap and then some 5 minutes) and you can create a 30-minutely slot from Camden Road - Lea Jn, and, if you do it really well, you can also have a half-hourly path from Railnet / Harlesden Jn - Kensal Green Jn - Gospel Oak and down the Tottenham & Hampstead. It's not like you want a stack of freight as it will be coming up the GWML, WLL or WCML and trying to then fight its way over Anglia or vice versa. But I can't imagine 10tph is problematic on the WLL if done correctly.

No, i’m referring to the removal of passenger services from the timetable as suggested by Bald Rick, which is unnecessary.

I agree that 10tph is doable.
