Latest ATW trainee driver

Hello all,

Firstly I'm new to this game, and sorry for starting a new post. It the other one seems to be going off left, right and centre.

I've applied for a trainee driver at Shrewsbury, what time scales are we looking at to find out if I'm successful?

As stated above........This is the railway......there's no such thing as timescales, you pretty much find out when you find out.

I'd expect/prepare for a long wait but hope for a nice surprise.

Have you now completed the telephone interview already? Here's some advice, if I'm not too late...

Learn about the company. Its history and current events / initiatives.
Learn the routes your chosen TOC covers.
Have customer services examples ready to give.
Have safety experience examples ready to give.
Be ready to give examples of your trainability e.g. courses you have studied or processes you have had to learn.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of a Train Driver.
Be yourself and try to relax (easier said than done, I know).
