Level Crossing Failure - Berwick

There seems to be a major fault with the level crossing at Berwick this evening. Recently, I've heard a lot of people blame last year's East Sussex signalling upgrade for the numerous problems on the East Coastway route. What are peoples' opinions on this?

1F83 has just departing Berwick 69 minutes late.
