The former was built in 1874, the latter rebuilt in its current form in 1878. The designer of Queen St being James Carswell. Both roofs & gable end screens appear to be almost identical.
I’m certain Liverpool Central wasn’t designed by James Carswell, so who was the civil engineer & could've James Carswell, copied the blueprint for Liverpool & used it for Glasgow?
