Are the Liverpool to Glasgow’s starting this month or is it December changes?
The Liverpool - Glasgow and Liverpool Edinburgh are two completely different operations.
Liverpool - Edinburgh via York is an extension of an existing service so is arguably easier to implement, whereas Glasgow is an entirely new offering.
An entirely new offering but really just additional services between Glasgow and Wigan North Western over the route they already run that then happen to go to Liverpool rather than Manchester Airport.
And considered in that context-not really such a big deal to sort out you would have thought?!
Yes, more down to lack of stock than lack of driver training I imagine.
Said later train has already had stops taken out of it making it less useful.New path for a later TPE service out of GLC.

Terminates in Preston but atleast its not only edinburgh that now has these.
In case TPE need to use a DMU, presumably. Omitting Wigan allows diverting via Bolton, no idea why no Lancs stop (but VT operate the station....).Why is that one timed as a diesel, even though it runs via the wires (and Wigan and Lancaster calls would be very useful).

Yes and Lancaster isn't the only station………It might have something to do with staffing at Lancaster as it would be 50 minutes after the last train had called and TPE might not want to pay Virgin to keep the station open.
