I should mention that the SWT units have now returned to home turf.

Second NXEC liveried HST set is in the process of being put together at Wabtec - should be out in the next week or so I would think.

Yes, NXEC DVTS are 82/2s (822xx) and Anglia DVTs are 82/1s (821xx)

The CrossCountry livery sits well on the 170s bodywork, shameful to see the 58s in the background wasting away though....

true indeed, I'd buy one if I had the time and money (and I was 18!)

From the scot-rail forum, Scott as sa56009 reports:

43039 is the powercar inside Craigentinny SDD for repainting
into National Express livery this should be due out in about
2 weeks time.

As with 43306 the only identification is on the plaque on the outside
of the vestibule end door.
Quite strange as this isn`t an MTU fitted powercar.

NX repaints are being done as and when a P/C comes due for a heavy exam (which includes a full repaint), regardless of power unit type (and anyway, 306 IS an MTU).

The reference to 306 was from a week ago when an unidentified unit was seen at Craigentinny.

The words Quite strange as this isn`t an MTU fitted powercar. refer to 43039. Sorry for any confusion in the cut and paste!!

This is the second unit to be repainted at Craigentinny. So far others have been done at Loughborough.

Added National Express 43315 - noted on thejunction.org.uk

43315 is indicated on thejunction.org as being released from Loughborough and at Neville Hill. The reference to NX livery has gone. Confirmations please.

It depends if the colour scheme is covered by a guarantee as the 333's are?

Several of the units (the 360s that is) have had the remnants of their firstgroup livery stripped off. Any alteration to the applied livery voids the warranty.

From what I hear 323s and 333s of Northern's are to undergo repaints soon

886 and 887 are indeed here in Notts. One is here to replace 856, but i have no idea why the other one has turned up. The boss told us he was only hiring one unit. I don't think a dodgy speedo would warrant hiring an extra unit, it's only a few hours on shed to rectify one of those.

Andrew on the Multiple Units Yahoo group advises that London Midland 323201 has gone into Wolverton for rebranding.

LM are in the relivery lead and up to their 3rd class of train!

Any info on XC 170102 - been at Marcroft for over a month - a release date?
