This may have been discussed elsewhere but what are the chances of any journey time savings, as a result of the implementation of the Azumas, being applied to the December 19 timetable? Or any future timetable for that matter?

There are no plans to reduce journey timed from the Dec 19 timetable change. Regarding journey time savings in 2020 and beyond, the plans are at an early discussion stage. There are currently rumours of additional stops being added to services form the time saved form the introduction of the Azumas. Although nothing has been confirmed yet or is likely to be for some time.

When do the extra trains to Bradford start?
Also why can they not be diverted to the Interchange as opposed to Forster Square?

Hmmmm.......wasn't Skipton meant to get extra trains to London? They could have covered the Shipley stop.
The Interchange is a much better option.
For a start, you have the bus station so its easier to get to,whereas Forster Square does not.
The facilities at the Interchange are much better too.
Also it would allow New Pudsey to have through services to London again which were discontinued when the London services were diverted to Forster Square.

The problem is the overall improvements came in 3 phases. The second phase that includes regular Bradfords was supposed to start May 2019, but they’re still introducing services (such as Lincoln) that should have already appeared quite a few years ago.

It’s proving difficult to pin down a firm revised introductory timeline. The track access application that supports the new service patterns had everything in place by May 2020, I’d expect that to be delayed at least another year...

Any plans for extra services from Skipton were dropped some time ago.

Services to Skipton can't serve Shipley going North.

Unless they use SDO for the shorter Skipton bound platform, or will a 9 coach fowl a crossover?
WCRC manage to stop at Shipley using an old-school form of SDO, so should be possible with an Azuma.

They do it on a Thursday evening. About 20 minutes before the Azuma goes through non-stop!
15 minutes afterwards officially, at a time when the public service has been reduced by half. So it's much easier to get a clear road across West (Bingley) Junction.

Yes, sorry - the point I'm trying to make is there shouldn't be too much of a problem pathing-wise getting the evening Azuma to stop at Shipley.

Perhaps, but it's not going to be so easy for the suggested extra services during the day.
