LSL 5Z55 running from Southall to Crewe is apparently on fire near Tamworth - fire service in attendance and significant disruption to train services. Not sure on the formation.

RTT quotes the traction as 47805 and 47501.

According to RTT, it looks to be a Class 47. It was running almost 85 minutes late at one point and was about 65 late upon catching fire.

Stuck at Tamworth waiting for a taxi to be arranged for Atherstone. Looks like all lines blocked on the low level with OHLE off. Problems expected until end of service. Passengers for Crewe and Euston being diverted via Birmingham New Street.

Looks like the fire occurred around Amington Junction.

Reported as a bogie fire on one of the 47's. 805 apparently.

It looks like the Up Slow is open for Up traffic, and the Up Fast bi-di is being used for Down traffic.

A bogie fire on one loco, which every time driver extinguished it, it reignited. Train now on the move towards Crewe at 50mph.
