Hi all,
Got a BIG enthusiast question-what UK universities have a loco or multiple unit named after them? I know Dundee(47550), Edinburgh(47470), Leicester(47535),Nottingham(47444), Oxford(47547), Stirling(47614, 47617, 47677) and Strathclyde(47640) all have 47s named after them, but I'm unsure about anything else!

I'm now wondering whether to lobby Northern to name a 142 or 153 after Edge Hill university, and dedicating said unit to the 'Midge Hall Flyer' services...<D
