The thing that I always disliked about the London tours was the fact there was never any timetables for them. For any of the firms. It would say the first and last buses of the day and maybe a frequency which regularly changes and sometimes extras would run in busy periods. You never knew how long you would be waiting for a service and if a service came, you'd never know where the 'end' was as you'd get kicked off at a random stop in the list. Driver changes didn't happen on bus like everywhere else, the bus stayed with the driver so at Leicester Square say, you'd get kicked off and wait for the next bus. It wasn't very good from a passenger perspective. The feeder routes were the worst, no timetable and ran irregularly but no one knew the times. What a farce.

Then because all of the London operators (bar Golden) had their cruise agreement with City Cruise, it was a kerfuffle trying to get on that as each boat was full (but everyone wanted an open air view).

Then you can add the cost, while it may be fair for the 'London premium', but the fares for these tours is still extortionate. £40 odd for a 24hr ticket (bearing in mind the buses run for 8-12 hours of the day depending on the time of year so if you start to work out the fare based off how much time you spend on the bus, it's quite a high fare). They aren't exactly promoting it for any normal tourist, it is priced for higher end tourists and how many of them want to sit on a plastic bucket seat for 2.5 hours doing the tours? Plus with all of the extra one off tours, there is too much choice. London at night, London Christmas Lights, afternoon tea, bar bus tour etc etc. It's never ending.

The Original Tour used to publish a full timetable booklet including fare charts and conditions. It was available as a PDF on their website too.
