London is officially in drought, no train washing.

Funny that, as I was watching one TFL concession doing just that yesterday.

Though they probably retain the used water.

I thought businesses were exempt from the hosepipe ban anyway?

I don't particularly like the Logo or Mascots. So let's see some alternatives from any budding graphic designers amongst you.

It's a bit too late now.

I think we can all agree that a better logo could have been created, but once they chose the 'kids competition' route, they were always destined to get something like this.

They'd have been compelled to reject anything too professional looking, as people would assume they weren't designed by little Timmy, aged 8. The winner would be chosen by people who knew that a key aim was to have something that looked like it was done by a kid.

So that's what we got.

No amount of money would compensate me for being stuck underground for four hours on a stifling hot train, and then having to walk down the tracks to escape.

I'm confused, didnt they just do loads of upgrade engineering work to prevent this happening?

Jubilee reliability has been gradually improving over the last few months.

They did have to postpone a scheduled Olympic test event on the Jubilee a month or so back when the line suffered a failure.

I presume they've since done it? I'm sure the other day I heard on the radio that all Olympic tests (primarily at the Olympic village and other venues, but presumably that includes transport) have now been completed and were a success.

I'm not sure, but I'd imagine so. The date was the 23rd March, and the Central and District line tests were carried out successfully.

You're right, it's not every day, it's every other day.

That's about right. Would prefer it if they hadn't started to pretend it wasn't happening - If they announced on other lines when there were problems I could often avoid the line. Last time it caught me out they were announcing minor delays on the jubilee line on the platform as the driver detrained us as there were engineers working on the line ahead...

To add to the above, this month's Underground News reports that a second trial was scheduled for 4th May, and was also cancelled.

As I type, the Jubilee is suspended between Canary Wharf and Stratford due to a faulty train - lets hope it's not one of the Diamond Jubilee sets again. Severe delays being reported on the rest of the line.
