My suggestion for all 4 of our 57s in one photo for first time ever was "well received " but a 150/158 in chocolate and cream ran out of time - we will see what happens !!!
I can’t make the open day, no doubt it will sell out tickets for tour. I would have love to done the tour.https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2019/0...-43-locomotive-farewell-charity-railtour.html
Looks like those visiting will get first dibs on the farewell HST tour tickets. Can't find much official information yet, besides confirmation that it will happen on GWR's Twitter account though.
Buy a ticket for the open day and you'll get a link emailed for the tour. You don't actually have to go to the open day.I can’t make the open day, no doubt it will sell out tickets for tour. I would have love to done the tour.

They've just announced details on the HST rail tour on June 1st. Looking pretty unrealistic for me unfortunately

The timings seem to be up on RTT, and it's going to be a very long day, with no way to get back from Plymouth until the day after. Starts at 5:30am in Bristol, then ends at 10pm in Plymouth.

I can't ride on it either. Riding a couple of the last HST services in passenger service will have to do! I will try my hardest to try and get to a station to see it though.Wow that's pretty pricey!
Kinda glad I can't make it, I'm doing something better instead!

Personally I think it's okay in terms of value. Remember it is 16 hours and about 800 miles of travel, plus it's for charity. Not for everybody, obviously, but I think the price is fair.
I'm still undecided unfortunately, it's a crazy long day and I'd have to skip the last leg to Plymouth, which makes the value proposition a bit less interesting. I might have to make do with catching the final HST too.
That said, come tomorrow morning I'll probably have a ticket anyway![]()
