A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
I was pleased to see that you had featured the buildings of the original Lancaster (Greaves) station and you certainly managed to show the architectural detail of the station very well.

The short-lived Scale Hall station that was only open for nine years remains hidden in the undergrowth were a reminder of the numerous journeys that our family made through there from Lancaster in the late 1950's. I never disembarked there, being far more concerned in those days in what delights awaited us at the other end of the line.

Your second episode was just as professionally produced as the first one.

Another most interesting video, especially the bit about the LRI being the original station. Also nice to see Platform 6 at Lancaster Castle. I would have liked to have seen more on the electrified line to Morecambe though, maybe that's a future instalment?

A couple of great pubs making appearances in there too ;)

Another very interesting video. I always found the original station building intriguing as the platform area has a high wall around it.

Interesting to see inside the platform 6 buildings. I bet a lot of that junk's been in there since before I started using the station in the mid-90's !

Just finished watching a most interesting episode two, and as with the first enjoyed it very much, I can't think of much else to add as its all been said above except for what appeared to be an old ticket machine that you were handling at Lancaster Castle Station, was that not of the exact same type that Conductor/Guards used on the old Paytrain DMUs back in the seventies?

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Yes, I believe it was an old ticket machine, there were two there. Would be interested to know if someone could date it.

I stand to be corrected, but I think it was of the same type that printed these, this one was issued to myself onboard a Stockport - Stalybridge DMU.
