I'm now hearing 5Y26 has derailed just south of Milton Keynes...

Not 100% certain in my source but something has certainly happened as nothing is moving.

350370 + 350247

Formed VSTP from 1Y26 at Bletchley, as the train was cancelled due to MN - “Brake and brake systems faults; including wheel flats where no other cause had been identified”.

Live data (Signalmaps.co.uk) suggests Up Fast now reopened.

The exact same set of points at Denbigh hall were ran through by a track machine during last night's engineering possession. Points were secured in normal and a further assessment was required, but not sure if that was actually undertaken.

Ah that's why it says OTP on signalling maps.

An empty stock London Northwestern Railway Class 350 has derailed just north of Bletchley depot, at Denbigh Hall South Junction. The Up and Down slow lines are blocked and there is major disruption across the entire WCML as a result. The Up and Down Fast lines are still open at the time of this post.

A train has derailed in the Milton Keynes Central area, closing some lines. Trains running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Picture below shows an empty, out of service train involved in a low speed derailment.

That'll be the last we see of that 350, can't see the ROSCO wanting to repair it straight away if it's going to sit in storage for ages.

BBC now running with the story...

Extract...
BBC said:
Passengers were being warned of "major disruption" after a train derailed, causing several lines to be closed.

London Northwestern Railway said the "low speed" derailment happened in the Bletchley area near Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire on Thursday.

The company said that no passengers were on board and no injuries had been reported.

P.S. A quick look at Real Time Trains seems to show that services are now running through the area, albeit many are an hour or so down.

Euston must be quite Cozy I expect as of now. Seeing trains leaving 45mins+ late understandably due to the 350 blocking part of the line. Flip side, from Preston it seems Avanti aren't really able to run much down to London if any at all.

Fast lines are open. 2Ks being caped at Bletchley, 1Ys are all over the place. 1Us are terminating/starting from MK or Rugby. Avanti doing their standard cancel 1 Brum and 1 Manchester.
