been having a play around and best way seems to be splits at Stafford, Birmingham, Bristol parkway? Need to arrive at Salisbury any time between 2-8 on Sunday and leave anytime on Monday (later the better). Don't mind which route in the slightest, just want the cheapest. Thanks. If first class not much more then happy with that too.

On the Monday evening, there are £38.50 Salisbury-Manchester (via London) Advances on e.g.: Salisbury 1847-Waterloo 2019; Euston 2140-Piccadilly 2350 (or on 1827-1950 + 2100-2308): try looking on new.trainsplit.com

For the Sunday, trainsplit suggests £44.80 + 94p saving fee for Advances split at Stafford, Birmingham, Cheltenham and Bristol on the 0827 from Piccadilly changing at Birmingham and Bristol and arriving at 1332.
