I would be very interested to hear the opinions of anyone from Network Rail at Milton Keynes who has "responsibility" for putting together the eNRT these days.

Actually it's worse than I thought in Table 81.
The Liverpool-Chester times are wrong, and the operator is shown as "ZZ".
The Leeds-Chester services are not in at all.
As an example eNRT shows on May 20 an 1123 Chester-Liverpool and no Leeds service.
Meanwhile RTT shows an 1132 Chester-Liverpool and an 1124 Chester-Leeds.

The Northern ones are just as bad. From timetable 15:

This timetable shows our train service between Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington Bank Quay via Earlestown. (No mention of Chester) The train service between Warrington Bank Quay, Helsby and Ellesmere Port is shown in a separate timetable at the back of this booklet. (No it isn’t)

There’s an updated version of that timetable that does include Chester, they just haven’t updated that pdf link.

It does actually have Chester on that one (unless you’re saying there’s a secret one even newer than that) and they’ve merged the Ellesmere Port services into the main timetable. I’m just suggesting that the copy hasn’t been proof-read to make sure it matches the changes. It’s not as bad as getting the times wrong like the previous poster mentioned on the eNRT but it’s worrying how little attention to detail these timetablers are showing when that should surely be one of the key skills required for the job.

Sorry yes this file is the one I was referring to - it was a late replacement for the original booklet 15 for which the text quoted would have been appropriate.

I very much doubt that the schedulers are responsible for the text of the introduction in timetable booklets - I think you’re reading a bit too much into that.

Yeah I was stretching it a bit suggesting they were the same people. You’d still think the company would take more care in the information they put out though considering these are services they’ve been publicising for years now.

In railway data terms, a 'ZZ' ATOC code is normally used for freight, departmental or special trains, and shouldn't normally be included in passenger timetables unless there is a specific reason for it...
Whilst using railway data to compile long-term timetables comes with several hurdles, the accuracy in the new eNRT is appalling, in many cases rendering it unusable - most southbound trains on my local route (Kirkby-Wigan) are missing! Myself, and I know many others, have in the past submitted feedback & corrections to the publishers, only for the issues to reoccur every edition since.
