Found these gems during a nostalgic trip down TV memory lane on YouTube.

From the days when HS1 was just a doubtful "line on a map" and referred to as the "Union Railway". Interesting footage of a short 373 set running wrong road through Sandling, comments from the industry and press at the time and some of the infrastructure upgrades.

Ashford is remodelled into Ashford International.

I was living around the Ashford area around the time of the upgrading and the first tentative Eurostar and CT freight services. The only thing I remember is two RfD 47's (how I can remember that I don't know, I was very young) running an intermodal service past Chart Leacon, seen from the old cattle market.
