I'm glad seats are peoples only problem, surely they need to fix the actual trains first
Glad someone can see further than the seats. I have no problem with the seats obviously some people have. It seems to some on this thread that you are not allowed to say you have no problems with the seating, but hey ho, everybody is different.I'm glad seats are peoples only problem, surely they need to fix the actual trains first
Is there any on Ellesmere Port line today?Only 1 777 on Chesters this morning - 777002. Just departed Chester at 0915 with "Not in Service" on the displays (however was in service).
Anyway, here's to the next 20 pages!
In part, it already exists, and was linked on this thread 23 pages ago:God no, maybe the moderators could consider an entirely separate stand alone forum for all and any seat sagas, please
@8A Rail quoted 21 more to deliver in post #5574, with 777152 to be delivered from Walton today that's at least 22
I had 777150 as having moved to Walton on 02/08 and then onwards to Kirkdale on 04/08. Since then it has been photted at Southport on 10/08 and then again on 04/09 so did it move back to Walton at some point in September?Update: No 777150 and 777152 were delivered to Kirkdale CS today from WOJn MSC Sidings via 6Q77.
For some unknown reason / oversight / incorrect info, I had 777150 at Kirkdale CS already but only delivered today! Sorry.
Kirkdale C.S. = 001 to 020 inclusive, 023, 026, 031, 036, 049, 140, 142, 144, 146, 148, 150 and 152.
I wonder if the reference to 777150 moving from Walton just recently is just a typo for 777152 ?.I had 777150 as having moved to Walton on 02/08 and then onwards to Kirkdale on 04/08. 777150 has been on the network for a while for testing and for some reason went to Warrington last week to come back. Not sure what happened thereUpdate: No 777150 and 777152 were delivered to Kirkdale CS today from WOJn MSC Sidings via 6Q77.

I would say no, as 777152 was on last delivery and left at WOJN MSC Sidings until todayI wonder if the reference to 777150 moving from Walton just recently is just a typo for 777152 ?.

Yeah for some reason it went on holiday from Southport to Warrington for a few days. Quite funny reallyI would say no, as 777152 was on last delivery and left at WOJN MSC Sidings until today
I must admit I did had 777150 at Kirkdale CS already, as there had been other sightings in Merseyside as you have confirmed but only it looks at some point it was taken to WOJn MSC Sidings and then (re)delivered today! It does no good for my little grey cells though!![]()
Trust just shows the power cars and barriers topping and tailing 777152
Did anyone actually see the move?

Yes I did too, was at Bootle Junction and Sandhills Junction to witness / record the move, I noted two Class 777's in the consist which surprised me as only expecting one, then noting 777150 was one of them, surprised me even more. Just say I was puzzled.Trust just shows the power cars and barriers topping and tailing 777152

Any particular reason it has an extension cable running out of the window??Yes.
Air hose running between the barrier wagons at each end, the 777s are unbraked in transit.Any particular reason it has an extension cable running out of the window??
The Metro covers a much smaller area than Merseyrail (Newcastle is tiny compared with Merseyside) and average journeys are typically shorter (the one longish line out to Sunderland is an outlier), so a standee train makes more sense there.
Think of the Metro as an U Bahn and Merseyrail as an S Bahn. In Germany you'll see comfort differences between the two just as you do here.
Returning to this digression I note in Rail magazine Issue 993, page 17, that passenger totals in 2022-3 were Tyne & Wear Metro 29.3m, Merseyrail 25.5m. I'll get my coat.
and much less frequent. It's more expensive and slower, so not for everyone.
With no services showing on RTT. Has anyone informed Network Rail?According to Merseytravel Headbolt Lane will be open on Thursday 5th. So the 777/1s should be in service very soon.
