Evening everyone just been having a look at train fares for next Saturday for wembley and they are expensive for obvious reasons. But was thinking of driving down and parking at Milton Keynes and catching the train to Wembley central. but would look to come back on sunday morning.

Would we be able to get a MK to London ticket and break the journey short?

3 of us travelling with one disabled adult railcard any help would be much appreciated.

LM put extra stops on thier services at Wembley Central on a match day and you can get a train direct from MK. You will miss out on Wembley way though if you get off at Wembley Central. Why not get a travel card and cover all options?

I would drive further down the M1 and get a Jubilee Line train from Stanmore to Wembley Park.

M1 junction 4 is less that two miles from Stanmore tube station.

Agreed, probably more sensible parking up in Stanmore and catching the Jubilee line down to Wembley. Might take longer to leave the stadium (the walk to Wembley Central spreads the crowd up), but the trains will be a much higher frequency.

There are some good value walk up fares from Sheffield to Euston routed 'LM&XC Only'. Basically you have to travel via Tamworth.

Granted it's not the quickest journey (particularly on the Sunday) but a Super Off Peak Return (1st train you can get arrives Euston 1354) is £44 return. An Off-Peak Return which you can travel anytime on Saturdays or Sundays is £55. The Disabled Railcard holder plus a companion can get 34% off.

If you do choose to drive to Stanmore then make sure you've each got a contactless card or an Oyster PAYG as paper tickets on the Underground are prohibitively expensive.

This you mean?

Yes, break of journey is permitted in both directions so that is fine.

You might want to consider Bletchley instead, however, as the parking is cheaper.

I used to park on-street by Watford tube. Is that restricted now, does anyone know? Then it was the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park.
