Just wandering as I noticed there is Vacancies for a Scotrail train driver where I live. What is the Age limit for you too train as a driver as I am 17.
yeah thee is. its 21 i believe. If you thinking of applying in future it would be a good idea to try and learn all about the role. its not as simple as it seems. take a look through the application form and note the questions that are asked. then go off and get yourself some good experience. hardest part of getting a driver job is getting through the paper sift. so your application form has to be perfect.
even when your through the application stage you will go through a series of assessments. you will only have two attempts at these assessments in your lifetime. you really have to pick your time well to apply for this job.
but definitely start the ball rolling now, and find some jobs that can give you ideal experience.
oh and ill be applying for the scotrail jobs, so you already have competition. lol.
Once you are in a company it is normally easier to get another job with them, plus you can look for internal vacancies. So, even if you can't drive until 21, you could still do other roles like platform staff etc from 18.
