Minister resigns over size of rail fare increases

Seriously the Indian Railways Minister was forced to resign because he raised fares by £0.0038 per km to try and get some investment into their creaking rail network.

I'm sure he'll turn up as Minister of Defence or something in no time.
I'd like to see someone recommend Voyagers there, as more efficient than the current 20 coach trains.

He fell foul of his party hierarchy.

This is hardly great news for Indian Railways as the man seemed to have a good grasp of what was needed, rather then using the railways as a political power base and electoral tool.
