Picadilly circus opened as Picadilly, I believe.
No, it's been known as Piccadilly Circus since it opened in 1906. The planning documents of both the Bakerloo and GNPB show it to be called that.

Certainly 2 years after it opened it was known as Piccadilly Circus (2"c"s).
I'm surprised that after all these years, the DLR hasn't evolved a common nickname equivalent to 'the tube'. (I have a vague notion that many years ago, their adverts used the tagline "ride the light" (or similar), but it never caught on.)
There are four 'c's in Piccadilly Circus. :P
It has... "TTR"
ToyTown Railway...(!)
Has it? Never heard that before.
But as transmanche states 'DLR' just rolls off the tongue.

I thought it was just my wife and I that call it the Toytown Railway, but it seems not.
