Do the standard class carriages have any power supply sockets for mobiles? If so, where?

Nope. Not even in first class. There are power sockets by the doors but they're for the cleaners and are not protected, so when you go through a neutral section, you leave yourself open to buggering up your phone/laptop.

Do EMT have plugs in Standard Class?

I don't remember that, as I remember being low on battery and there being no plugs!!

NXEA is a strange one, Wi-Fi, No plugs!

It may have happend if the investment never stopped once NXEC were stripped of their franchise.

Re-furb done around 2004/5 knowing that most other longer distance operators where installing power points. Wi-Fi only now with us due to external grants.

On the subject, Cambridge to Norwich 1st class passengers (yes there are a few) are unhappy with the older 3-car sets now used as these have no sockets as opposed to the 2-cars they replaced.
