Apologies if this has been asked before. I can't find it in a search.
Journey is from A to C via B.
The return fares A to C return and B to C return are almost identical so for the return journey later I want my ticket to be from A to C return.
Train leaves A at 0930 then change trains at B onto a train that leaves at 1005
Can I buy a railcard return from A to C not valid until 10am and a non railcard single from A to B valid before 10am and make the journey leaving A at 930 using the non railcard single and then use railcard ticket from A on the B to C trip which leaves after ten even though I couldn't have reached B by ten on my railcard ticket ?
( By the way, A is Folkestone, B is Ashford and C is Portsmouth via Barnham)
