Spotted today on a 377 out of London Bridge, Southern have added a new network map above the doors.

These cover all of Southern's services, the whole of London Overground's East London Line and other NR/LO connections where you can connect with Southern. A very detailed map which they should be congratulated for.

The info "posters" on a 171 i was on the other day had all been updated too with the new style maps above the doors so it must be getting done to all trains.

That said i was on a refurbished 377 today and it still had an old map on it, saying SE went to Horsham and East Croydon still.

Same design, but updated to show all stations on the ELL. First time I've spotted them on any Southern train as a regular commuter of the 377/455.

Technically the one on the 377s is as in the pdf link quote above, only rotated 90º anticlockwise!

The sideways one is a bit confusing at first, I'm not used to seeing the Southern lines laid out sideways, it's always been London top and Brighton bottom...

also, as with all schematic maps, some things seem unnaturally close together, especially in the extremities (see how Guildford is closer to Southampton Airport than West Croydon is to East Croydon...) :)

Better than FCC 321's.. they've still got maps from 2009 on them showing the TL as running into Moorgate "until Summer 2009".

And trains going to Gillingham, when I believe they no longer go that far - and stopped doing so some time ago. I have a feeling that even the latest route maps still show this.

Meanwhile, why hasn't Southern said anything to that other company that runs Gatwick Express? I forget its name but I'd be really angry that they've somehow got their route included on the map of Southern services! Honestly!!
