Seen on a dvd just a while ago on the Oban to Crianlarich line instead of the usual AWS ramp I noticed at least two that were no more than a square yellow peg. They are on the way out of Oban and most certainly are an AWS ramp as the buzzer sounds as the unit passes over it.Is this a new type of ramp and is only on this line and in Scotland.I noted that a great deal of work was going on through the rock fall area ,is this to do with the ramps?

They are temporary AWS magnets designed to warn of temporary/emergency speed restrictions.
