India's Virender Sehwag 219 from only 149 deliveries faced...cricketing 'carnage' (previous best was Sachin Tendulkar 200 Not Out)

That lad can bat a bit. It is in a 50 over match against WI - and the rest of the batters are joining in - none of them has a strike rate of under a run a ball. I suspect the Windies will respond in kind - but fall short

India posted an amazing 50 over total of 418 - 5 (with 176 being put on for the first wicket) at an average of 8.36 runs per over. In reply, West Indies have lost their top four batsmen and after 15 overs, they are 99 - 4.

Yup, they tried to match the run rate, but were - not surprisingly - not good enough.

Teletext on the BBC (specifically page 340) mentions Sehwag's 219, and has held the news as an item for 3 days on the trot, but have still yet to put the match scorecards up. They're usually pretty good at this sort of stuff, but surprisingly remiss on this occasion.
