If lucky you’ll find a step entrance Olympian operating on those routes :D
There's one of those on a local school run around here. It's likely to be not only older than the pupils but quite possibly its driver!!! Newer than the VRs they used until recently, though.

First Aberdeen Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse Urban 69130 SV07EHG is preserved and currently undergoing restoration. Perhaps stands out from some others in that it is Euro 6 / LEZ compliant.

Other preserved "modern" First Aberdeen vehicles include.
  • Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 133/31559 X771NSO
  • Scania L94UB Wright Axcess-Floline 566/60220 T566BSS
  • Volvo B10BLE Wright Renown 629/62164 Y629RSA
  • Bluebird All-American Rear Engine (AARE) 831/62228 YS51JVD

That's the one. Are they semi-preserved anyway or just used commercially? Know drifting a bit as newest bus of theirs I've seen doesn't even come close as a V reg Volvo double decker (B7TL?, I'm not very good with Volvo terminology unless it's a B10M!!).

B7TL until around 2008, superseded by the B9TL.

Fully commercial operation! Owner is an older gent. Don’t think he has anything from this century!

I visited the Coventry Transport Museum last month and found a silver Peugeot 206 SW. I know someone who drives one of those!
That made me spit out me coffee !
I drive a dark blue 206SW ...
Pretty good fuel economy and Very good road holding in wet / snowy conditions !

The VRs are famously used on Glastonbury shuttles every year, interesting to hear that they also worked school services up until recently though! One assumes that the slightly ‘rugged’ outward appearance of the fleet hides a decently solid mechanical maintenance regime!
