We all have our favourite nicknames for some railways, Gods Wonderful Railway for the Great Western, and so on and so on, so let's see if you can guess some of these below!
- This railway was always late, and hardly ever early. London & North Eastern Railway "Late & Never Early" (Coxster)
- This railway has regrettably gone. Great Western Railway (Coxster)
- This railway had money spent on it, and it was lost. Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway "Money Sunk & Lost" (Coxster)
- This railway is now gone completely. Great Central Railway "Gone Completely" (Coxster)
- This railway lost 'em, mixed em' up, and smashed 'em to peices. London, Midland & Scottish Railway (Coxster)
- This railway was old, worse and worse. Oxford, Worcester & Wolverhampton Railway"Old Worse & Worse" (Nutter)
- This railway was very serene and rather delightful, or so says Jamie. Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway (Coxster)
- This railway was slow, easy and comfortable. South East & Chatham Railway (Coxster)
- This railway shook, rattled and rolled along. Southern Railway (Coxster)
- This railway was always going nowhere. Great Northern Railway (Coxster)
Have fun guessing them! Some are fairly easy, but others will be a pain in the backside! Bonus points for those who know what the real nickname is, as well as the railway.
