Just by chance, spotted the Northern Belle on Weaver Viaduct approaching the Frodsham Junction onto the curve towards Liverpool this morning ( Friday 06:50).

Apart from the seasonal parliamentary service, what else travels over the link towards Liverpool??

The parly summer Saturday service actually runs every Saturday Chester-Runcorn-Lime St, but is ECS in the winter.
Coal trains Ellesmere Port to Fiddlers Ferry could go this way, but they prefer to go the longer way round the houses via Warrington Arpley as I guess they only need one reversal (at Latchford) instead of two (at Ditton and Fiddlers Ferry).
They could not come back via Runcorn of course.
