Northern Rail ticket machines - paper tickets?

Just bought a ticket from Burley Park to see it's been converted to white paper. It's not even got the orange bars like you have when you buy on a train or from Avanti. Is this a trial as I got a traditional ticket from here just last month.

It's going to become more common, Penmere and Perranwell on the Falmouth branch also issue these!
