Hi all,

With GA still running a reduced service and the 745 introduction well underway, is the 19:30 Norwich to London (1P56-old 321 diagram) still a 321 or likely to become one anytime soon, or is it a flirt now?

Many thanks.

As far as I know the 1930 NRW/LST is still a 12-car321. The 1702 LST/NRW is the inbound working. Whether it will be 'flirted' in time I do not know or might it even be 720'd in some long far-off time.

Hope this is helpful.

There is a single 745/1 service each way a day, basically to allow one of those to travel to Crown Point for maintenance, but I don't know which pair it is.

In theory should be one of those which are not marked as conveying First Class accomodation
The two Norwich in 90 services meet this criteria, but doubt its those so I would imagine it would be:
0500 Norwich to Liverpool Street
2000 Liverpool Street to Norwich

When I was riding on the GEML (Tuesday 11th), both the 10:00 & 10:30 Norwich to Liverpool Street services were 745/1s (745103 & 745108). Interestingly a 755/4 covered a Norwich service that was cancelled between Liverpool Street and Ipswich.

On 20/08 321303+442 worked the 1130 LST-NRW as far as Colchester

Prior to COVID the plan was that the 17:02 and 19:30 back were to become 10 x 720 once they are introduced, as were the 06:24 up and 18:10 back. Whether this will be the case long term now we’ll have to wait and see.
