They could then give drivers the new timetables, but not in the timetable rack, and put on the posters 'for the new timetables please ask the driver', then a few days before the changes put them in the main timetable rack (or something like this).

When Garelochhead Coaches changed the timetable for the 316 to better match with the now-staying-for-ever train times in Helensburgh, they told passengers to do just that. But it then took them forever to actually stock them on the bus! They also don't use paper timetables, until recently when they appeared taped on the bus!

Don't SPT publish paper timetables instead, for Garelochhead Coaches routes, for routes operated under SPT tender?

However, the people at Garelochhead Coaches timetable planing division are lazy. For example, the 0600 Coulport - Helensburgh is timetabled to take 10 hrs 5mins to get from Kilcreggan (0613) to Rosneath (1618), then time-travel to get to Clynder by 0620.

They have them on the website like GC, but neither stock printed ones. (Note: Where would they stock them?)

EDIT: Also, the timetable on SPT's website is incorrect.

Buchanan Bus Station may have it

(My emphasis)
I would be interested in drivers' views on this.

We generally have new timetables out for passengers to take a few days before changes. I agree new timetables should be made available earlier

West Yorkshire are the worse ones for getting new paper timetables out, can be a couple of weeks after major changes before they have all the timetables in stock, Merseytravel on the other hand are pretty good for getting new paper timetables in stock, only one occasion a couple of years ago were they were late getting new paper timetables in stock.
