Killing Joke - What's THIS for? (1981).

I didn't know this album, but parts of it remind me a lot of early Cure. Would listen to it again.

The same cannot be said for:

Primal Scream - XTRMNTR - which I did not enjoy on my first listen.

[Bartok Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion on my 1967 Vox Turnabout LP. Still sounds great 56 years later.

Eric Satie - Parade, one of the great revolutionary pieces of 20th century music but sadly not always recognised as such. Written in 1917 it is overshadowed by another ballet, Stravinsky's Rite of Spring of 1913. On my LP it is taken seriously by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the conductor Phillipe Entremonte, better known as a concert pianist.

The The - Soul Mining. A brilliant album. The stand out track is Uncertain Smile which features the excellent Jool Holland on piano.

I suppose if you have to mime on a TV show, you might as well hold two microphones... and have the violin player fight you for control of them, even though neither are functional!

Fantastic! Sounds like The Coral covering Pinball by Brian Protheroe.
