NR Casual Uniform sizing

I've not met my work colleagues yet and have a NR casual uniform request to fill. Does it err on the side of large or small? I'm often between L & XL...

I'd go for bigger rather than smaller. Things fit me, which usually mean they run small for most.

You can always wear something that's a bit too big until you can get something better fitting, but you'll have a much less comfortable time wearing something that's a bit too small.
