Hi all,
What's the best way please to travel between Nuneaton and Skegness.
Went up there a couple of weeks ago - very early outbound via Leicester, Nottingham and Boston, with a rail replacement coach Boston to Skegness - return a couple of days later was the CrossCountry option, Skegness to Boston on the coach again and then changes at Boston, Nottingham, Derby and Tamworth.
The return trip somehow seemed quicker - probably due to part of the journey being with XC and the last 15 minutes or so being with Virgin.
Always seems to be that the part of the journey from Nottingham to either Boston/Skegness or Lincoln seems to take forever, also the fact that I don't enjoy travelling on Sprinters very much.
Which route is quickest? I appreciate when the track improvement work between Boston and Skegness is complete that should make the journey a bit quicker.
Also, are there any specific times that are better and/or cheaper to travel?
Many thanks,
Steve.
