i see greater anglia mentions taken on security people in the future --- old post above --- --- new post below ---
really love to get back on in the railindustry
Got through assessments and had interview last Monday, fingers crossed. Should hear something within the next two weeks.
400 odd applicants, most bought for assessment, 78 people passed assessments, and 34 positions available.
Just a quick question. What sort of things were you asked at the interview? Was it like a structured interview with questions like - whats your greatest achievement? When have you had to work for long peiods alone? When have you had to follow rules and procedures etc etc (like the drivers ones?)

You're more or less on the money. They tell you alot about the position ect. Questions like, when have you provided good customer service, when did you see a dangerous situation, what did you do, how did you protect you're collegues, when have you had to deal with an irate customer/service user. Just the general questions. He did talk alot about problems in W.Anglia (hackney station for instance), and asked how would you deal with problems/challenge people here.
