Old train seats and their uses

Hello, I have always had an interst in railways thanks to my dad, who took me around the Country by train from a young age, so I was always going to form memories from my many trips out on particular trains.
I used to live in Chelmsford, Essex and came to love riding on the mk 3 sets hauled by class 90's until their sad demise in 2020.
After they were stored, scrapped and some thankfully preserved I decided to buy a pair of seats from carriage 12103 as a memory of my times sat on those very seats.
It soon turned into an obsession and today I strangely ender up with over 5 pairs of train seats from various carriages and EMUS (much to the displeasure of those who live with me!).
I have mainly used my seats as outdoor furniture drilled onto pallets with the cushion covers kept in the shed for safety.
It doesn't stop their either! I now work for a well known company which sells moquette products and has rolls of the stuff!
Anyway rambling over, I attach some pictures of my current collection and would love to hear about yours!
Also what have you done with your seats? Do you use them as benches? Do you use them in your mancave?

What a fabulous "haul". I love the idea of saving - and using - things as financially accessible and practical as these seats.

Thanks for sharing this superb idea. I just showed the photos to my wife. She likes them - then she gave me the look which means: "get the darn garden sorted first...." :D
