That's a big topic. I can tell you for nothing that the real thing isn't as simple as it might at first appear, so good luck with trying to model it.

All the stuff you can buy from suppliers such as Sommerfeldt is of European design and does not match any of the UK systems. Consequently the only option you have if you want an accurate UK OLE is to scratchbuild it all, for which you will need the ability to solder, lots of time and patience, and this website.

Might not be worth the bother.

In that pack of ten you get five short and five long arms to give the correct 'stagger' to the wire. I think I read that they hope to bring out a range of structures including the 'portal' style.

I have designed my N gauge layout with OHLE in mind
There used to be a supplier of UK specification OHLE supports, but my last layout never got that far

If you only require basic masts, then the Dapol range may suit you

Sadly mine is a mix of 2, 4, and 6 tracks, so only some the Dapol items suit me
For the other tracks I have planned the use of the N-brass items, but this still leaves me requiring the full height masts and supports

I think i'll solder pieces of spare zinc wire together for the arms, and see if i could make or buy the poles for them, and get thinner copper wire for the wires
