Cwmbran to Worcester via Hereford is rather good.Mainly open countryside.
Also enjoy going up to Gloucester alongside the Severn.

Kentish Town to Mill Hill Broadway, I love the quaint buildings around Kentish Town, the views of Wembley Stadium around Hendon and the inter-urban landscape around Mill Hill.
I also like urban railways and find Blackfriars to Croydon interesting with the ever changing skyline and Victorian suburbs.A distorting mirror thread of this topic: https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...retch-of-railway-in-the-british-isles.172912/
Pretty much as it says on the box. Which are your favourite railway lines in the British Isles ? The ones you find most interesting, exciting, etc.
I myself enjoy main line urban railways a lot, so the whole Overground orbital network is all the way up there for me.
Conwy Valley - love the way it builds up to the tunnel then the moonscape of Blaenau.
WCML Tring to say North Wembley , rolling Chilterns , canal scape , the Ovaltine farm and "factory" , Berkhampstead Castle , the parallel DC lines and the Bakerloo.
Liverpool to Scarborough has the same variety in a fraction of the distance.Of the mainlines I would say the whole WCML - an end to end journey pretty much tells the story of the UK.

Island Line- Charging down the line at 45mph between Smallbrook and Brading is an experience to remember!
