Pacer Trains: Politicians call for passenger compensation

When will this end!? o_O

We get it - Pacers are going, new trains are coming. Maybe the “politicians” concerned with the demise of the Pacer should focus their attention on the lack of wider infrastructure like 4 tracking and electrification.

If it was a choice of 2tph Pacers, or 1tph Cl 195, I’d take the Pacers - and even then they’d be gone soon enough.

The best time to start a bandwagon in the media is when you already know the outcome. The politicians know perfectly well that the Pacers are going so all they have to do is demand that Pacers are scrapped. Then when the Pacers are gone the politicians can claim all the credit.

But the politician's wont accept
responsibility when there are short
forms and cancellations when the operators are still short of stock.
