Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone could help me with a small problem. I am calculating all my mileage for my pres locos and became stuck when doing my shunters at Peak Rail.

The mileage (or the amount of chains) I am trying to find is from the small cattle dock platform - The Shed at Rowsley South.

Any help would be very much appreciated,

Thanks Dan.

On a train somewhere in Europe
All I do is zoom in on the area enough so that you can easily see the sidings, click on the ruler symbol on the toolbar at the top, choose the tab marked path then click on where you want to start and trace a line along the track you travelled on for as far as the trip went.

When going round a curve click the mouse to stop drawing the straight line then click again on the same point to change the angle of the line to go round the curve, repeating as many times as required. The ruler tool does the measuring for you but you will have to convert it to chains as it is decimal.

See the attached picture which will hopefully give you a clue as to what to do.

When 03099 and 03113 worked at the gala last September this was measured by Pogo using a GPS and the distance was 0.23 (in decimals).
