The phone went off about 5 minutes ago and I let it go to answer phone. No message, so I do the 1471 only to hear numerous 0s go on and on so I eventually hung up. Just wondering has anyone else been called by a 0000000000 number and if so what did they say to you. I googled it and apparently it's an Indian call centre. Des anyone have any further info?

Thanks

I've also had calls from this number, but they've always been the silent type.

I don't usually answer calls that I don't recognise the number, as I'm sick of trying to come up with ways to tell them to get lost and leave me alone!

Why do you need to tell them to get lost? I find hanging up the phone is very effective at getting them to shut up.

Very true, in fact I normally just pick up the phone and put it down.

After a week where the same bloke rung from an energy supplier every night, despite being told not to, I registered for TPS and haven't been bothered by anyone since - apart from one overseas scam company, who got the phone put down on them.
