Location
Near where the 3 ridings meet
On the first day of the steam run to Mallaig on the West Highland back whenever it was.
We were on the second train of the day and waited rather a long time at Glenfinnan Stn.
We were waiting for Maude to return with the first train.
When we eventually moved off we found that Maude had set the valley on fire.
Numerous PW Huts were ablaze, when we returned all that was left were the Tin Sheet roofs lying on the floor.

There's one on the disused bit of the Lakeside branch, just short of Ladysyke viaduct. It is brick built and in fair condition except that the concrete slab foundation has tilted in the bog at about 10 degrees. Also one near to the site that the Furness loco went down the mineshaft in Lindale. Must be lots stood in fields all over the place.

On a expedition to cross Scotland, coast to coast, by canoe this Easter we came across this hut on the middle of Rannoch Moor. Was tempted to sleep in it but it didn't quite meet my accommodation standards ....
