According to Rail Advent, between Christmas and New Year 'platform extensions to allow longer trains to run between Wolverhampton and Telford' were installed. Does anyone have any idea exactly what work has been done?

Modest extensions to allow the new WMT trains at a couple of stations. Nothing big.

Thanks. Do you know which stations and how many carriages are expected to be accommodated, please?

Albrighton, Bilbrook and Oakengates to allow 4 car 196. Bilbrook gets extended up to 98m each platform from 64 and 68m. Oakengates get 20m extensions and Albrighton 6m.

Excellent info thank you. That's not big in the large scheme of things maybe but significant progress for a line that has been in need of investment for a long time.
