TPE are running a couple of additional six car 185's Huddersfield-Manchester Pic today (Sunday) as Huddersfield Town are playing Peterborough United in the League One Play-Off Final at Old Trafford. A number of the usual TPE services have also been doubled up to six cars (and a four car 170 on a Hull-Pic).
Northern have also made their Huddersfield-Manchester Victoria stopping services four cars. However, only one has run as a full four car set as twice guards refused to unlock the rear unit due to platform lengths at Slaithwaite and Marsden (the second time there were even two guards on the train, but they still refused). The empty sets have both been 150s. so, with a station packed to the rafters, four empty carriages have departed to Manchester. A PR disaster for Northern.
