Round the compass at Acton (West to North to East to South and back to West)? Or the grand tour of all the London seven - or if you're adventurous, include Acton Bridge... Or there's the tour of all the Ealings (could combine it with the Actons).

Hayes to Harlington via Hayes & Harlington?

Blackfriars to City Thameslink. By the time you walk to the platform and get a train, you could have walked directly there in 5 mins.

Not necessarily! From the South Bank to Holborn Viaduct is about half a mile and it is definitely quicker to take the train.

Is walking from the southern end of Blackfriars station to St. Paul's station quicker than using the OSI for the Central line?

What about travelling from the lowest-numbered platform in a station, to the highest-numbered one? Plat 1 to plat 13 at St Pancras would be an interesting journey. Something like via Leicester, Birmingham, Reading, Redhill, Tonbridge, Ashford.

A shame that we never got the north of London Eurostars. That would have been a good route from the international to Thameslink platforms at St Pancras.

Paddington - Lancaster Gate: A five minute walk, but requires a change at Notting Hill Gate or Oxford Circus if using the tube.

Marylebone - Baker Street: Another one stop tube journey that's just as quick to walk most of the time.

Hanger Lane to Park Royal? It's only about 1km between the two and it's very similar to the West Acton and North Ealing suggestion early in the thread.

In the area there is Edgware Road (Bakerloo) to Edgware Road (sub surface), changing at Baker Street or Paddington but quicker to walk.

Others are Wimbledon to South Wimbledon, and not far from there Tooting to Tooting Broadway.

Quite a few options there depending on which direction you start off in. One that springs to mind is St Pancras - Stratford International - Stratford - Farringdon - St Pancras but there will be many others.

When the Kent stoppers return you could do it St Pancras-Lille Europa-Ashford International-Tonbridge-Sevenoaks-St Pancras

Slightly more expensive than the others however..

Not that I'm sure how you are expected to pay for some of these others correctly, especially the loops if paying by contactless
