I've never heard anyone refer to a repaint as a refurbishment before!externally refurbished currently
Pendolinos are being externally refurbished currently.
Oh ok they’re changing the exterior livery then, not externally refurbishing. Sorry, I didn’t really know the difference![]()
They're painting them. Why use a sentence when one word will do?
Geez, all right, sorry!!
And don’t you mean repainting them?

Am in two minds about the external redecoration. It is a bit plain but part of me likes it. The interior is same as always, alright if they aren't crowded.
The new livery is basically just a simplified, duller version of the VTEC Azuma livery (which I'm not particularly a fan of; much prefer the livery on the 91s)
Yeah, the HST's, 91's and Mk 4's and all manner of other stock have always had all kinds of different liveries. The Pendolinos have had the same livery from the start. It looks nice (ok without the window things, better with them) but to me it makes it seem like a different type of train. I’ve never been able to imagine a 390 Pendolino in a different livery. Same as how I can’t imagine a non Virgin one!
You asked for it!It looks nice (ok without the window things, better with them) but to me it makes it seem like a different type of train. I’ve never been able to imagine a 390 Pendolino in a different livery. Same as how I can’t imagine a non Virgin one!
Oh yeah I’ve seen that one before! Looks weird without the “front end face”, the virgin shield acts as the mouth! You asked for it!

Not my image; just one I found on google
I think that really suits it.
(Minor point but DDA was repealed 7 years ago. A much better word to use is simply "accessible". No need for jargon and acronyms when a simple descriptive word will suffice)
