Possible reuse of Foynes to Limerick line for Rail Freight

It appears that there is a real possibility that the mothballed freight only line from Limerick to Foynes could be reinstated for the use of freight traffic from the Port of Foynes on the Shannon Estuary. There is a very interesting article at the following link discussing this:

Ah that would be interesting, but best that any expansion happens when it can and by any means possible. The freight option seems more possible at the moment.
